The first team-project of which we believe god is calling us to is helping out a small, young church in Pennsylvania. we will help there by setting up teams and fill the gaps that are currently there waiting to be filled. Another thing we will do is help the church take an important place in their environment. how we got here, you can read below!
how it started …
On may 1st 2017 Ramon received an image that was really similar to the picture here on the left: a burning field with in it a tree, with the fire closing in on the tree. That was in danger of getting burned. With this image Ramon heard a distinct voice saying: I’m sending you and your family to a small church in Pennsylvania, and the church is called the road church. you have to go there and help to make sure the church won’t burn up.
It was so specific and our knowledge of Pennsylvania was so limited, we knew this had to be something special!
of course we started with checking if this church even really existed. then we saw not only there was a road church in Pennsylvania, it also did look pretty small and the homepage of the website it said they were looking for people to come over and help! With that the question to contact them if you felt called to do so. First we took a week to pray and ask god to show us whether or not we’ve heard it correctly. With this we asked god not for a green light, but for a clear read light. when no such thing came, we sent the pastors an email.
Eventually we went to America as a family in September of 2018. Here we got to know the pastors, the church and her members and we talked next steps.

we’ve been working very hard to obtain a working permit (green card) or a long term visa, but unfortunately neither of them worked out. that means we’re now going to America on a regular tourist visa as a missionary family. the plan is to help set up projects and projectgroups/teams. Besides that we want to support the church and its members as much as possible in a practical way. after this we go back to The Netherlands for a while and (if necessary) then go back to the states for another 3 months. For the first 3 months, we’ve made a budget, that you can look at by clicking the button on the left.
